Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Update
Paramount Skydance plans to initiate large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.
Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm intending to reveal all specifics via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports suggested the company was looking to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.
By December 2024, the company employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
